Looks like the Olympics will push back the Oscars once again, says AP.
Next year's ceremony will officially be held on March 7.
I'm personally all for these kinds of delays. It opens the door for potential surprises, which seem to be a thing of the past these days.

My birthday is March 5th, and last time the Oscars were so close to my birthday my brother bought me all the Best Picture nominees, so I'm pretty happy about this.
On the other hand, that means I own a copy of Crash.
This is how surprises happen! (Brody, Washington, Harden...)
But then again, those extra two weeks are gonna be killer.
I am all for surprises (Slumdog winning everything wasn't too exciting.) But, I don't like it when the Oscars are nearly in the middle of the year, the movies seem to get old, and it's hard for new movies to be recognized. At least it's in the beginning of March.
Two notable (good) things that happened today:
Kidman joined the Woody Allen film (That also stars Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Freida Pinto and Naomi Watts.)
Where The Wild Things Are trailer is out, which is fucking amazing. I can't wait to see this in theatres.
WHAT?! nicole kidman in a woody allen movie?!?! wow, this one seems way more exciting than whatever works...
This gives an extra two weeks to see everything, and that is good.
