In Bruges

Starring: Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes
I'm already sick of seeing this trailer in theaters, but the reviews have been pretty decent so far. Plus: it's been awhile since Colin Farrell did anything substantial, so maybe he'll surprsie us here.
Be Kind Rewind
Release Date: February 22nd
Starring: Jack Black, Mos Def
Early word leaves me worried. However, Gondry worked some early year magic with "Eternal Sunshine" a few years ago, so fingers crossed.
The Other Boleyn Girl
Release Date: February 29th
Starring: Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Eric Bana
This could lean toward the campy side, but either way it's bound to be entertaining.

Nothing. I need to recuperate my money hoard after Oscar season ran my afoul with a few loan sharks and certain Aztec God (no names...coughQuetzalcoatlcough).
Although the remake of Funny Games comes out in March, and I'm excited to see Michael Pitt take the role of Paul, and the impact should be different because it's all in English.

So I saw Be Kind Rewind which was okay...I expected a lot from the man who wrote and directed my favorite movie 'Eternal Sunshine'...It had the potential but just ended up not performing...Funny cause I am also seeing In Brughes tonight and I will tell you guys what I think about it...
saw in bruges last night.... was very impressed with colin farrell.. but the trailer is very deceiving - its not a full-on comedy, but rather really emotional and dark at points.
plus colin wearing glasses = sex, so i was happy

and catching up on seeing the nominees by netflix and getting to the local independent thearter that is playing them...

You are absolutely right about 'In Bruges', but I recommend it to almost everyone...I think that Burn, you might enjoy it. It's more dramatic than comedy, but there are enough laughs that it can be called a comedy...Loved the movie....
Yeah, I really want to see it. I love Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes, and the premise sounded great. I think I'll check it out.
I guess I'll have to see In Bruges then.
I need to catch up on The Wire, illnaa! Although I did catch Lost last night. Very eerie stuff.
I just bough season 2 of the wire on dvd. I think it is the best season, of truly one of the greatest shows in television history.
Oh, and I just wanted to make clear that the acting was so good in 'In Bruges'. Ralph Fiennes (Who I believe in the end stole the show) and Colin Farell along with Brendon Gleeson were amazing...
I can't wait to see The Other Boleyn Girl. I secretly love the book, and I'm getting scared that the movie will be similar to Memoirs of a Geisha... so sad. I can't believe that they realeased it in Feb, at least if it had been released in December there could have been a good several months of speculation before the bad reviews. Ahhh well.
